Hey there! My name is Max, and I am a software engineer at Granite Telecommunications. I am a currently senior at UMASS Boston, and I am majoring in Computer Science. I love playing video games, hanging out with friends, and coding in my spare time. This webiste is one of my most beloved projects, because it allows me to present myself to the world in a neat and consise way. June 2024 - Current

  • Improved warehouse allocation efficiency by 80% by developing a Flask server with integrated API routes and a PostgreSQL database to automate repetitive, manual warehouse processes.
  • Containerized and deployed the Flask server with Docker and Kubernetes, optimizing resource utilization by 40% and load balancing in clusters to enhance performance and reliability.
  • Redesigned the whole interface for a centralized company webapp using Next.Js and Tailwind, set up API calls and routes to display a json configuration of a IoT device, as well as pushed updated data models to the DynamoDB database, optimizing data storage by 40%.
  • Eased the troubleshooting process for 1000+ customers by creating IoT Core events and updating AWS Lambda to display current statuses of embedded systems devices in a centralized webapp.

Software Engineering Internship

Mission Space, Boston, MA

May 2023 - August 2023

  • Performed firmware updates and pushed code into a small satellite, which optimized flight performance by 20%.
  • Used Arduino IDE to program the sensors, accelerometers, and gyroscopes of a small satellite (1U CubeSat) that launched 10km into space.
  • • Created a program using C++ to analyze and store the data from the satellite on an SD card, including data from a Geiger counter, which calculates nearby radiation in the satellite, saving 50% on data storage.

Project 1 of 3: Job Finder

This project is an implementation of a superchat, where users can register their account on the platform and communitcate with each other in real time. I used React, Javascript, and CSS to design the front end, and Redux to implement the user authentication end. I also used Firebase to deploy the website.

Project 2 of 3: Personal Portfolio

This is the website! This encompasses my overall skills in web development, as well as just an overview into my professional life. I used Next JS and Tailwind to design this website. I also used multiple libraries like Framer Motion and Email JS to implement the email section.

Project 3 of 3: Face Recognition Software

This Machine Learning project is a face recognition tool that compares the faces in the webcam of the device to the given list of "known" people, and prints out the confidence value of that match. I used OpenCV and Python in order to implement this tool.
